Cathryn E Richmond

Graduate Student
Developmental Program

I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Maryland in 2010 and my master's degree in psychological sciences from James Madison University in 2015. In 2016 I joined the doctoral program in developmental psychology at VCU. My research interests broadly relate to resilience and risk in the context of childhood adverse experiences, with particular consideration of epigenetics, gender identity development and the intersection of multiple minority statuses, including racial/ethnic minorities and members of the LGBTQ community.
