I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Spanish. After working as a full-time research assistant in a child development lab at Iowa, I began graduate work at VCU in 2014. My research interests include development and evaluation of intervention and prevention programs for youth violence, and I am particularly interested in the influences of parenting processes and parent-adolescent communication on youth violence prevention.
