I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University in 2011. In 2014, I completed my master's degree in applied psychological research from Penn State-Harrisburg and entered VCU’s social psychology program in fall 2015. My research interests are focused on understanding the effect of mindfulness on cognition, health and well-being in older adults. I am particularly interested in how mindfulness-based interventions can promote healthy aging, and how we can study correlated changes in brain activity through the use of fMRI and EEG.
