I completed my master's degree in developmental psychology from Beijing Normal University in China and started working at Wayne State University as a research assistant in 2012. In 2015 I joined the doctoral program in health psychology at VCU. I have been working on a research topic related to HIV/AIDS prevention intervention and resilience-based intervention among vulnerable populations (e.g. people with HIV+, AIDS orphans, rural-to-urban migrants in China). More recently I have become interested in the nonmedical use of prescription drugs in young adults and its relation to psychosocial factors.
