Chelsea Derlan, Ph.D.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2015 and joined the doctoral program in developmental psychology at VCU in 2017.  I am interested in understanding social and cultural factors that influence minority youth’s development and well-being. More specifically I am interested in positive development and educational attainment among high-risk, low SES ethnic-racial minority youth.
