Nour Al Ghriwati
I entered VCU's developmental-clinical program in 2014 after graduating from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, where I served as a research assistant in the Pediatric Psychology Lab for several years. I also interned at Johns Hopkins University’s Bayview Medical Center, where I participated in research examining effects of chronic illness on people’s quality of life. I am interested in understanding family factors that may serve as risk or protective factors for children with chronic illnesses; I am also interested in understanding mental health outcomes associated with pediatric illnesses and treatment burdens. My broader goals include developing more integrative bio-psychosocial models for childhood illness and translating these models into interventions for affected children and their families.
