In 2011, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South. I joined the clinical psychology program at VCU in 2012 after spending a year working as a research assistant at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, Conn. My research interests have included depression symptoms among college students, especially how these symptoms may unfold over time. In addition to research, I am passionate about working clinically in interdisciplinary medical settings to promote psychological and physical well-being, including behavioral interventions for obesity, tobacco use, stress and chronic pain. I am also interested in assessment and intervention services for adults with cognitive and psychological concerns. This includes working with persons as they recover from brain injuries or require inpatient rehabilitation for physical injuries.
