I graduated from the University of Vermont (UVM) in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and continued to work at UVM as a research coordinator for a developmental research lab before enrolling as a clinical/developmental scholar in the VCU Psychology graduate program under the mentorship of Wendy Kliewer, Ph.D. My research focuses on risk and resilience among youth who have experienced early adversity or trauma. I am particularly interested in the positive development of children who have experienced parental loss and have been reared in foster care or institutional childcare settings.
