Research Interests
Dr. Caroline Cobb's program of research generally addresses the role of cigarette smoking and the use of other tobacco products (e.g., hookah/waterpipe tobacco, little cigars/cigarillos, and electronic cigarettes) in the incidence of tobacco-related disease and death as well as the broader implications of the availability of these products for policy and public health. Dr. Cobb's approach includes use of clinical lab and trial methodology, local and population-based surveys, qualitative inquiry, and other tools from tobacco regulatory science. Her current work is focused particularly on informing prevention and intervention efforts and policies related to tobacco product flavors particularly among populations and communities who experience disproportionate tobacco-related harms.
