Associate Director of Psychology Graduate Academic Operations
806 W Franklin St, rm 123
Since 2012, I have been employed part-time as a learning specialist and adjunct instructor at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, where I assist with researching methods to provide training to tutors and supplemental instructional leaders on effective instructional strategies to support students. I have designed and facilitated workshops and courses on a wide range of subjects, such as student development, social skills, communication, organization development, program evaluation and assessment, time and stress management, and critical thinking skills.
Outside of the university setting, I am the founder and director of Project Brothers and Sisters, Inc., a faith-based family literacy organization in Emporia and Richmond, Va. that provides outreach services to families and properly educates youth through various developmental projects and programs to find solutions to societal issues affecting underprivileged populations in rural and urban areas.
